President
David Baker formed OnQuest in April of 2002 and serves as the company's President. With more than forty years' experience in the field, he has held a series of executive positions during his career, including as President & CEO of KTI Corporation from 1982 to 2001. Prior to that, Baker was Vice President of Furnace Technologies for KTI.
Born in the United Kingdom, Baker worked in a succession of executive positions in the U.K. and the Netherlands, before moving to the US in 1974, including as Managing Director for Flocon Ltd., from 1972 to 1973, and as Technical Director for Born Engineering Co., from 1964 to 1972. He began his career as a design engineer with Humphreys & Glasgow, Ltd., in 1961.
A Chartered Engineer, Baker is a Professional Mechanical Engineer and Fuel Technologist. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, The Institute of Petroleum, and of The Institute of Energy. In 1986, he completed the Executive Program at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He attended the Hendon College of Technology in London, earning his Mechanical Engineering diploma in 1958 and his Fuel Technology diploma in 1959, and was awarded the Mechanical Engineering Prize. He served as an officer in the Royal Air Force from 1959 to 1961. He became a U.S. citizen in 1986.
