Don Trisch
Director, Operations
Don Trisch joined Onquest, Inc., as a Principal in April 2002. As Director of Operations, Trisch is responsible for managing projects, procurement, and construction relating to all services on H2 and NH3 reformers, refinery heaters, and NOx reduction equipment. He has extensive experience in procurement and project management for domestic and international projects, and also brings to OnQuest a particular expertise in fast-track design and execution of revamp and rehabilitation projects.
Prior to joining Onquest, Trisch spent twenty-seven years with KTI Corporation in a succession of management roles—most recently, as Vice President and Manager of Operations from 1991 to 2001. In this role, he managed projects, procurement, and construction relating to all services of refinery heaters, syngas reformers, critical high-temperature furnaces such as ethylene pyrolysis, EDC crackers, and high temperature steam superheaters, as well as the NOx reduction equipment associated with these heaters.
Trisch's expertise in all aspects of the fired-heater market led to formation of a group to service refiners and petrochemical companies by revamping and rehabilitating fired equipment that had been subject to energy excursions. Trisch managed this group, building vendor and subcontract relationships and a fast-track design capability that minimized operating company downtime. As manager of this services group at KTI from 1980 to 1991, Trisch managed rehabilitation of nearly 100 fire-damaged units.
From 1974 to 1980, Trisch was Procurement Manager for KTI. Prior to that, he was Manager of Production for Texas-based Combustion Engineering from 1972 to 1974.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Trisch attended Antelope Valley Junior College and the DeVry Institute of Technology. In 1991, he completed the Management Skills Program at Harvard University and in 1993 completed the Financial Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
