BMS Engineering
The OnQuest companies have an experienced team of chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineers, with training and expertise in all aspects of BMS and combustion control systems. Our philosophy is to train our project engineers to be cross-disciplinary, to minimize interface problems and provide a cost-effective and timely solution.
Benefits:
Instrumentation: We are well versed in all aspects of instrumentation—from P&ID development to final calibration and testing. Since our focus is burner management and combustion controls, we have specific knowledge of the instruments available. Our understanding of the regulatory requirements for instrumentation equipment and systems is especially important. |
Process: Our process engineers understand how heaters, furnaces, boilers and incinerators operate. We are familiar with most types of fuels and can quickly simulate fuel-handling systems, and have deep expertise in combustion and burner processes. |
Controls: The OnQuest companies take pride in having some of the best control systems engineers in the industry, allowing us to provide a variety of control solutions from safety-critical Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL 3) systems to basic process control loops that optimize process operation. Our engineers have programming experience on most commercially available platforms. |
Engineering Tools:Our engineers and designers use the latest CAD/CAE software – including 3D CAD – along with our own custom tools to quickly and cost-effectively design and analyze our BMS and combustion control systems. We can also provide all the design information in a useable "soft" format to the customer, giving them the flexibility to incorporate data into their plant’s data management system. Our design method also ensures quality by minimizing errors and providing a centralized database of information. |
Piping: Utilizing 3D pipe modeling tools, we provide complete burner and utility piping system designs. We have experience with a wide variety of fuels, waste streams, and steam piping systems. Our specialty is providing a fully functional skid-mounted pipe rack for fuel and utility systems. Our engineering tools also include piping isometric tools. |
